Course Description: Living things, cell structure, viruses and bacteria, microorganisms and man; histology and the organization of tissues, epithelial and connective tissue, the skin; nutrition, energy, important elements, food chains; growth, reproduction and genetics; rhythms of life; ecology.
Admission Requirements: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma or Mature Student (19 years or older)
Course Duration: The course duration is 6 months (90 hours). Enrollment is ongoing. Students can start at any time. Students have six months to complete the lessons and final exam.
Delivery & Instructional Methods: The Prerequisite Biology Course utilizes a self-directed distance learning delivery method. Lessons must be submitted for evaluation and correction by email or mail. The final exam is written with a proctor. Students are required to arrange for a proctor in their area.
This program does not require approval by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training. PTIB did not review this program.
